Whatever the weather, we've got the equipment rentals you need for a self-guided adventure!

Enjoy a true adventure in the Reforestation Camp that surrounds the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park! We offer equipment rentals for all seasons, thanks to Pete’s Garage!

Bike Rentals

Bikes are available at set rental times and all bikes can be reserved online in advance. We currently have 10 bikes.  We provide helmets with each bike rental.  Dress for the weather and bring water (or purchase at Adventure Park).

In spring, summer, and fall, there are designated bike trails onsite ranging from 2.5 to 10.5 miles. This includes double track and single-track options. Maps of all trails are provided at the start of your rental.

In the winter, there are designated groomed fat bike trails onsite ranging in distance from 2 to 6 miles.  Maps of the fat bike trails are provided at the Adventure Park Base Camp and are also available at the Fat Bike trailhead.  DO NOT RIDE FAT BIKES ON SKI TRAILS. Fat bikes will only be available to rent when the Fat Bike trails are posted as open.  Trail conditions may vary depending on snow conditions. 

  • Rental Fees
    • 1st Hour = $25.00(+tax) Per Bike
    • Each additional hour = $5.00(+tax) Per Bike
    • Brown County Parks Daily Trail Pass (required) = $6.00

Please check trail conditions to ensure that the trails are open before making a reservation.

Bike Participant Requirements

Bikes must be returned before designated end of rental time or the participant will be charged an additional hour

Participants must fit available bikes properly

Recommended minimum age of 10 years old

Participant must be 18 years old or under the direct supervision of a legal guardian

Participants/Legal Guardian must sign a participant agreement and liability waiver

Participant must where provided safety equipment at all times while riding

Participant must follow all recommended safety protocol provided in safety speech

Bikes must stay onsite

Participant is liable for any major bike damage beyond normal “wear and tear”


Snowshoe Rentals

The Reforestation Camp offers 2 miles of snowshoe trails for you to explore. The snowshoe trailhead is located on the east side of the upper parking lot. No trail pass is needed; snowshoeing is a free activity offered by the Brown County Parks Department.

Snowshoe rentals are available daily 9:00am – 4:00pm. There are 5 different sizes available for rent, so the entire family can snowshoe together. There is no special footwear needed for snowshoeing, so participants can wear regular winter boots. We encourage you to dress in layers, taking into account the temperatures.  Make sure you remember your hat and gloves. Snowshoeing is limited to the snowshoe trails. Snowshoeing is not allowed on cross country ski trails or snowmobile trails.

  • Snowshoe Rental Fees
    • 1/2 Day Adult = $8.00(+tax)
    • 1/2 Day Youth (4-15) = $6.00(+tax)
    • Full Day Adult = $12.00(+tax)
    • Full Day Youth (4-15) = $10.00(+tax)

Cross Country Ski Rentals

The Reforestation Camp offers 19 miles of cross-country ski trails to explore. The Brown County Parks Department grooms both classic and skate trails for users. The ski trailhead is located on the east side of the Ski Lodge. A trail pass is needed to use the groomed trails and is available for $5 per day or an annual pass is $40 single or $85 family. Passes can be purchased online or at the trailhead. Daily passes are also available at the Adventure Park Base Camp Building.

Ski rentals are available daily 9:00am – 4:00pm. We offer 5 different sizes of classic Nordic skis available for rent. Rental includes skis, boots, and poles. We encourage you to dress in layers, taking into account the temperatures. Make sure you remember your hat and gloves! Hiking and snowshoeing are not allowed on cross-country ski trails or snowmobile trails.

  • Ski Rental Fees
    • 1/2 Day Adult = $20.00(+tax)
    • 1/2 Day Youth (10-15) = $15.00(+tax)
    • Full Day Adult = $30.00(+tax)
    • Full Day Youth (10-15) = $25.00(+tax)
    • Trail Pass $7.00 (not included)
    • Please note: 1/2 Day = 3 hours; Full Day = 6 hours
