The Adventure Park provides a fun, challenging, and safe experience for the whole family. Open seasonally, with a host of adventure-themed activities to choose from, the Adventure Park has something for everyone. All participants have the ability to choose your own challenge level. We’ve designed the course with both safety and maximizing your experience in mind at all times. The Adventure Park features state-of-the-art safety systems that are easy to use and allow for a safe and comfortable experience.

Zip Lines
The Dual “Racing” Zip Lines provide an exhilarating and extreme ride. The two zip lines are side-by-side, each one-thousand-feet long, and take you over a scenic pond at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. They launch from the top of the existing 50-foot-tall historic fire tower and end on a landing deck near the entrance of the zoo.
Participants must be at least 6 years old and weigh 60 to 260 pounds.
The zip lines are a “participant passive” activity, meaning that participants are not required to have any interaction or perform any critical functions throughout the experience, and therefore most people can participate! In fact, our zipline setup makes the thrill of ziplining accessible to everyone. We are proud to be the highest and longest accessible zipline in the U.S., offering inclusive ziplining events throughout the summer.

Ropes Course
The Ropes Course provides an interactive experience to explore at your own pace and challenge level. After attending a brief “Ground School,” participants enjoy self-guided exploration across the Course.
The course offers 17 different elements on three different levels that culminate in an optional 32-foot high QuickFlight “free fall” experience. Participants are clipped into a user-friendly “Smart Snap” safety system at all times. The Smart Snap system is “participant active,” which means you are responsible for transferring your own safety lanyard from one element to the next. This allows each participant to be in control of your adventure and “own” your experience, while also minimizing any chance for the participant to become unclipped at any point.

Climbing Tower
The Climbing Tower allows participants to summit a three-sided, 36-foot-tall climbing structure. Two sides of the structure are climbing walls with contours that allow for variable levels of difficulty. The third side of the structure has a vertical playpen.
The Climbing Tower is open to those over the age of 6. After an orientation, participants can climb the tower, choosing which route(s) you want to conquer. Each person will get to try your hand at three climbs.

Kids Kourse
The Kids Kourse is designed for younger participants who don’t yet meet the requirements of the full-sized Ropes Course. These elements mimic the big course and allow participants to practice and gain skills that are necessary to master the full Ropes Course in the future. The Kids Kourse is recommended for kids ages 3 to 6. It is comprised of soft elements that are low to the ground, so kids can build confidence in a safe manner.

Accessible Zip Lining
Our Accessible Zip Lining events allow individuals with limited mobility and disabilities to experience the thrill of zip lining like only the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park can provide! With the support of our trained, professional staff, participants are lifted to the top of the 50-foot-tall, historic fire tower and attached to one of the Dual Racing Zip Lines with an adapted harness. After riding down the 1,000-foot-long zip line, Adventure Park staff lower participants directly from the line to the ground at the end.
