Donations

Thank you for your interest in supporting your NEW Zoo & Adventure Park, northeastern Wisconsin’s ONLY AZA accredited zoo. The NEW Zoo is one of few accredited zoos in the country that are self-funded, which means we do not receive tax support for daily operating costs. The Zoo relies on visitors, members, and generous donors, in addition to support from our partner organization, the NEW Zoological Society, to help keep our doors open. We are grateful for our community and appreciate your interest in supporting our mission.

Financial Donations

Monetary donations can be made to the NEW Zoo Society, Inc. to support a variety of programs and ongoing fund-raising efforts. These donations are fully tax-deductible and benefit capital campaigns and new projects (such as new exhibits, facility improvements, and more). Consider giving at work, donating stock, establishing a life income gift, or even designating the Zoological Society as a beneficiary of your estate. 

Physical Item Donations

As a self-funded organization that does not receive tax support for daily operating costs, the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park’s budget is as much as 30% to 40% smaller than the average budget of accredited zoos of similar size. In other words, we operate efficiently and strive to keep our expenses as low as possible. Donations of certain every-day items, like hard-boiled eggs, paper towels and newspapers, fresh produce from gardens or grocery stores, and more, can make a huge difference for our animals and for our staff. During certain seasons, we have additional needs – like in October, when we need pumpkins to support our annual Halloween event. For more information about donating items, contact us today.
